Loudoun County Public Schools retained Rupurt for the construction of 4,800 sq. ft. 3-classroom additions to 6 existing elementary schools. Each school addition was a separate site plan design and application process including geometric layout, grading, roof drain design, analysis of the existing SWM/BMP system, erosion & sediment control measures, and coordination with the architect.

Alice West Fleet Elementary School

Arlington County, VA

The project involves the construction of a new elementary school on the existing campus. To maintain critical open space, a new two-level below-grade parking structure with access from a new bus driveway was proposed below the footprint of the new school building. Rupurt provided a full scope of civil engineering services.

Route 229

Culpeper, VA

Rupurt provided project management of the right-of-way and easement acquisition efforts and negotiations for 51 parcels to widen Route 229’s existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway and provide curb and gutter, sidewalk, and a 10-foot shared-use path.

Route 460 Corridor Improvement Project

This VDOT project includes construction of 55 miles of four-lane divided limited access highway. The project will be tolled with funds used to pay for project costs. The project also includes design of intermediate interchanges at four major crossroads. The project made it to 15% before getting canceled by VDOT.

WaWa

Engineering services for over 50 WaWa projects. Services include entitlements and development of strategic plans for market-driven initiatives. Also provided representation at public hearings and workshops, technical assistance for prototype stores, Chapter 527 TIA Reports, traffic impact studies, etc.

VDOT Route 29, Berkmar Drive Extension

Albemarle County, VA

The project consisted of establishing secondary control for survey work, performing field run topographic/planimetric surveys on approximately 80-acres, annotating the existing photogrammetry, property corner recovery and location, and storm sewer/drainage as-built preparation and delivery in accordance with VDOT standards.

Villages of Leesburg

Leesburg, VA

Rupurt provided land planning, surveying, and engineering design services for this mixed-use development located in the Town of Leesburg. Modeled after developments such as Reston Town Center, the project includes a Wegmans supermarket, and a town center like central core that will include a variety of supportive restaurant, retail, and office spaces.

Virginia I-95 Logistics

Richmond, VA

With the assistance of Rupurt, Panattoni Development Co. Inc., has acquired 62 acres for the development of a 1 million-square-foot distribution center across from Richmond Marine Terminal (RMT) in Richmond, Virginia. Rupurt has supported the project by providing transaction due diligence, land planning, civil/site engineering, storm-water management design, land surveying, and environmental permitting.

VDOT Safety Rest Area Support Services

This project involved the engineering/condition assessment of VDOT’s Safety Rest Areas water and wastewater facilities, totaling 21 different facilities throughout the Commonwealth.

The Hamptons at Celebrate Virginia

Fredericksburg, VA

The development consists of 384 apartments, with a mix of 60% 2-bedrooms, 25% 1-bedroom and 15% 3-bedrooms. This site also proposes a community building/clubhouse/ pool and four (4) acres of commercial which is planned as a 100 room (4 Story) hotel and a 27,000 sq. ft. office building.

VDOT Route 123

Prince William, VA

Rupurt is providing structural and right-of-way services for this new interchange that will build Route 123 over Route 1 to separate through traffic, and connect Route 123 to Belmont Bay Drive east of the railroad. Both Routes will be widened from four to six lanes.

Stafford County On-Call Contract

Stafford County, VA

Rupurt performed general surveying services under on-call survey contracts for Stafford County. These services cover property and topographic surveys for design property boundary surveys construction stake-outs and property plats indicating right-of-way and/or easement requirements.

South Riding

This large, multi-zoned planned community contains a mix of residential units, retail space, and several hundred square feet of commercial low-rise buildings.

Rosslyn Commons

The Rosslyn Commons project involved two towers with a total of 474 residential units and four levels of underground parking garage. The project consisted of the design of two underground stormwater management vaults, water and sanitary sewer connections, and frontage improvements.

Middlesex Water Authority Sewage Collection System

Rupurt has completed this evaluation, developed and obtained approval of the Preliminary Engineering Report and has begun design to follow Hampton Roads Planning District Commission specifications. The scope involves the installation of approximately 42 miles of water distribu-tion piping sized from 12” down to 2″.

Giant/Martin’s Grocery Store & Fuel Programs

Rupurt continues to work with Giant/Martin Food Stores for various engineering, planning, surveying, and environmental due diligence studies for several store locations and fueling centers. Sites range from one to seven acres.

John Rolfe Pkwy & Ridgefield Pkwy Sidewalk Improvements

George Mason University Faculty and Staff Housing

Rupurt provided civil engineering and land surveying services to this multi-phased, design-build housing project that consisted of 422 total units, including 75 apartments, 105-unit townhomes, 164 urban townhomes, 58 duplex units and 20 small lot units.

The proposed Fox Gate development is located on 19 acres alongside Route 50 near the Fairfax County line. The project consists of approximately 600,000 sq. ft. of mixed-use space including office, retail, civic, and residential uses.

Hamilton Safety Center

Rupurt provided civil engineering and surveying services for this project, which included a 17,000 sq. ft. building with 6 attached bays for fire and rescue vehicles and a 5,400 sq. ft. annex building. A site plan was developed and processed through the Town of Hamilton and included design for stormwater, sanitary sewers, water, and stormwater management.

Rupurt provided 3D laser scanning Rupurt provided 3D laser scanning services for this substation security fence project. The work is being administered through a Master Service Agreement with the client. 3D scanning services are being conducted on the substation to capture survey grade 3-Dimensional data on the existing substation, perimeter fence, towers, and associated equipment within the substation.

Fairfax Village Neighborhood Center

The Fairfax Village Neighborhood Center is part of the U.S. Army Residential Communities Initiative to upgrade, redevelop and provide market rate residential housing and amenities for the men and women of our armed forces. The project was awarded LEED-NC 2.2 Platinum Certification by the United States Green Building Council.

Cople Elementary School Solar Project

Westmoreland County, VA

5-acre 2,100 solar panel array located on existing Elementary School property produces 1.2 megawatts a year, offset-ting the facilities carbon footprint by 865 tons of CO2. This project is part of a Power Purchase Agreement with Sun-Tribe Solar which resulted in no investment from the County and estimated to save $3.6 million over the solar array’s lifespan. Rupurt provided comprehensive engineering and surveying services.

Discovery Elementary School

Rupurt provided civil engineering, surveying, scanning, and construction administration services to support this new 98,000 sq. ft. elementary school on 25 acres.

Confidential Substation

Rupurt provided 3D laser scanning services for this security fence project, which is being administered through Rupurt’s Master Service Agreement with the client. 3D scanning services are being conducted to capture survey grade 3-Dimensional data on the existing substation, perimeter fence, towers, and associated equipment, including ground elevations within the substation and around specified transmission towers outside the substation.

Chessie’s Trail: Lee District Park

Rupurt provided planning, engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and environmental consulting services within the 120-acre Lee District Park as part of the Family Recreation Area Spray Park and Accessible Tree House and Chessie Trail development. The accessible trails and tree house project had significant topographic and tree preservation challenges.

Clarks Branch Bridge Riverbend Park

Rupurt provided watershed analysis, preliminary and final engineering design, environmental investigation and permitting, surveying and construction documentation, for design and installation of the 90 foot span hiker/equestrian bridge span over the Clark’s Branch tributary.

City of Fairfax Transportation On-Call

Rupurt provided an array of planning, surveying and civil design services including topographic and route surveys, land records research, easement and right of way acquisitions, tree inventory, analysis and management, and supplemental landscape plans, conceptual design development and evaluation, final construction drawing preparation, construction stakeout, and more.

Claiborne Parkway Extension

Rupurt prepared a traffic impact analysis, travel demand forecasting, traffic signal warrant analysis, preliminary traffic signal design plan, and provided public involvement support for the 4,000 LF extension of Claiborne Parkway in Loudoun County. The project was locally administered by the County’s Office of Transportation Services, and Rupurt also provided survey, environmental permitting services, and roadway and drainage design for the entire project.

Broadway Water Treatment Plant

Broadway, VA

Rupurt provided major upgrades to the Town of Broadway’s Water Treatment Plant. The upgrades included the installation of a state of the art 1.8MGD Pall Corp. MF membrane treatment system in a new concrete filtration building, upgraded and automated chemical feed systems, a 100,000-gallon well storage tank, and a 350,000-gallon finished water clear well.

Catlett – Calverton Wastewater System

Fauquier, VA

Rupurt partnered with English Construction for this Design-Build project for a central wastewater collection, treatment and disposal system to serve the service districts of Catlett and Calverton. The project includes a new collection system consisting of individual Septic Tank Effluent Pump (STEP) systems that transfer wastewater to a 80,000 gpd central wastewater treatment plant utilizing an Integrated Fixed Film Activated Sludge (FAS) technology. Effluent will be disposed of through the use of subsurface drip irrigation drain fields.

Bruce Avenue Drainage Project

Colonial Heights, VA

Rupurt provided planning, surveying and design services to the City of Colonial Heights for the Phase III and IV drainage and utility improvement plans of the Bruce Avenue Drainage Improvements project. This project included approximately 6,500 linear feet of city streets. The scope of the project included complete water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer replacement. The project also involved substantial excavation of the roadways within the ROW limits and rebuilding of new asphalt sections and curb and gutter.

Caldwell Park

Hanover County, VA

Caldwell Park is a 120-acre mixed-use development that includes 115 single-family lots, 131 townhomes and 286 apartments, along with 200,000 sq. ft. of commercial space. Rupurt provided its core planning, surveying, and civil design serves to deliver the project. The team was challenged to incorporate elements of retail, office, multi-family, townhome, and single family uses in a tight and topographically constrained site.

Beach Mill Road Channel Restoration

Rupurt provided on-call services to Fairfax Countys Stormwater Planning Division. The team provided environmental consulting services, conceptual and final engineering design, and construction phase administration for this stream restoration project. Rupurts team of environmental scientists performed a wetland delineation and stream mitigation evaluation, and a Water Quality Impact Assessment report and small whorled pogonia survey were prepared.

Beaverdam Reservoir

Brambleton, VA

With this study, Rupurt’s team prepared a schematic design for potential park features, developed base mapping to determine development constraints and the boundaries of environmental overlay districts using GIS data, and identified potential access locations and existing public utilities. The information was to be used for development of a conceptual facility layout.

Bickford South Eby Senior Living Facility

Chesterfield County, VA

Rupurt performed due diligence and land use entitlement services for this 60-unit senior living facility including boundary and topographic surveys, due diligence and preliminary engineering, a preliminary traffic assessment, final site plan preparation and construction plans, and land acquisition transaction services, including an ALTA/ACSM Land Title survey, lead and asbestos survey, easement plats, VSMP General Permit and SWPPP, and subdivision platting.

650 N. Glebe Road

The project involves redevelopment of the existing Goodyear Tire Store, adjacent parking lot and a single-family home. The 0.85-acre project consists of a five-story building with two levels of underground parking and contains approximately 5,220 sq. ft. of retail space on the ground floor. Rupurt provided all work efforts required to submit a site plan including landscape architecture, surveying, and civil engineering services.

Academies of Loudoun

Rupurt was responsible for the land planning feasibility and commission permit legislative process, landscape architecture, arboriculture, civil engineering, environmental, and surveying services for Loudoun’s 320,000 sq. ft. premier STEM education facility combining the Academies of Science, Monroe Advanced Technical Academy, and the Academy of Engineering and Technology.

Albemarle County Economic Development Site Evaluation

Albemarle County, VA

Rupurt provided engineering services to evaluate the site readiness and economic development suitability of nine properties located within the County-designated growth area to evaluate their po-tential for economic development and the value that Rupurt can create through the quantification of site development needs such as entitlements, permits, soils, environmental features, surveys and available infrastructure.

Rupurt was responsible for the design of a major portion of this 216-acre headquarters campus and provided extensive state and county records research, as-built surveys for sanitary sewer main and service line, and storm sewer, water main, secondary service line, fiber optic duct bank, irrigation line, and gas main and secondary service line location surveys, as well as telecommunication, and primary and secondary service electric line surveys.
