Moseby Drive

Manassas Park, VA

A dual culvert under Moseby Drive in the City of Manassas Park, Virginia became compromised during a storm and collapsed. As a result, a townhouse community of over 400 residents became inaccessible to vehicle traffic and also severed the water and sanitary utilities. Rupurt was called upon by the City to lead efforts to restore the vital connection.

Floresta Drive Design Survey

Port St. Lucie, FL

Rupurt is a subconsultant for the City of Port St. Lucie Floresta Drive Corridor to provide utility infrastructure investigation (ASCE Quality Level B) to identify the horizontal location of existing utilities within the project area.

Windsor Water System Mapping

Windsor, VA

To convert existing CAD data and hard copy maps of the water distribution system into a GIS framework, Rupurt identified the water distribution system features including mains, valves, storage tanks, wells, services, meters, and fire hydrants.

Berkeley County Stormwater Assessment

Berkeley County, SC

Rupurt performed GIS asset locating, stormwater asset inventory and assessment of identified outfalls in several watersheds. Rupurt also
collected and integrated photos in the assessment and completed metadata for the GIS to track data history and lineage.

Confidential Gas Mapping

Various Locations, OH

This large-scale mapping project encompasses data collection and mapping of nearly 5,000 miles of gas lines during a three-year contract period. This is a natural gas mapping project and Rupurt technicians are collecting data for underground gas service and main lines, as well as above-ground gas features.

County Road 804

Grand County, CO

Grand County, Winter Park Ranch Water and Sanitation District, and the Town of Fraser had a common interest in completing infrastructure improvements in County Road 804, including a new storm sewer system, a water main replacement, and improvements to the existing road surface and new road striping.

Central Tri-State Tollway Improvements

Chicago, IL

Rupurt was responsible for Phase I and Phase II design for the Open Road Tolling Program, roadway widening, bridge widening, and toll and interchange ramp modifications on the I-294 tollway. Rupurt worked closely with Illinois Tollway during Phase I and Phase II.

Route 229

Culpeper, VA

Rupurt provided project management of the right-of-way and easement acquisition efforts and negotiations for 51 parcels to widen Route 229’s existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway and provide curb and gutter, sidewalk, and a 10-foot shared-use path.

Route 460 Corridor Improvement Project

Suffolk, Isle of Wight and Southampton Counties, VA

This VDOT project includes construction of 55 miles of four-lane divided limited access highway. The project will be tolled with funds used to pay for project costs. The project also includes design of intermediate interchanges at four major crossroads. The project made it to 15% before getting canceled by VDOT.

VDOT Route 29, Berkmar Drive Extension

Albemarle County, VA

The project consisted of establishing secondary control for survey work, performing field run topographic/planimetric surveys on approximately 80-acres, annotating the existing photogrammetry, property corner recovery and location, and storm sewer/drainage as-built preparation and delivery in accordance with VDOT standards.

Veterans in Paramus Housing Complex

Paramus, NJ

Veterans in Paramus is a townhome complex designed to house disabled Veterans. The community consists of six buildings, each of a three-story units. Rupurt worked closely with Paramus and Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County, to plan and oversee construction. Services included site design, surveying, landscape architecture, and obtaining all necessary permits.

VDOT Safety Rest Area Support Services

Various Locations, VA

This project involved the engineering/condition assessment of VDOT’s Safety Rest Areas water and wastewater facilities, totaling 21 different facilities throughout the Commonwealth.

VDOT Route 123

Prince William, VA

Rupurt is providing structural and right-of-way services for this new interchange that will build Route 123 over Route 1 to separate through traffic, and connect Route 123 to Belmont Bay Drive east of the railroad. Both Routes will be widened from four to six lanes.

Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Reconstruction, Mile Long Bridge

Chicago, IL

The Mile Long Bridge is a critical piece of infrastructure to the Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) corridor as it carries drivers over two major railroads, three water sources and local roads, and over a major distribution center for UPS and Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway. Rupurt is providing Phase III construction management services for this multi-year project.

U.S. Naval Academy Hammer Throw Field Improvements

Annapolis, MD

Rupurt provided surveying, civil engineering, site and landscape plans, and a forest conservation plan for this project at the U.S. Naval Academy in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Rupurt’s scope of services included regrading and providing swales around the hammer throw fields to provide stormwater management through swale infiltration.

South Florida Water Management District, Surveying & Mapping Services Contract

Rupurt is the prime consultant performing general surveying and mapping services in support of projects across the South Florida Water Management District’s 16 counties of responsibility. Services performed under this contract include boundary surveys, topographic surveys, right-of-way surveys, and hydrographic surveys.

Stafford County On-Call Contract

Stafford County, VA

Rupurt performed general surveying services under on-call survey contracts for Stafford County. These services cover property and topographic surveys for design property boundary surveys construction stake-outs and property plats indicating right-of-way and/or easement requirements.

Structural Engineering Services for 7 Structures

Kane County, IL

Phase I and Phase II included engineering design services for the repair and maintenance of seven separate structures. Work included the determination of appropriate repair and maintenance activities for each structure based on recent Bridge Condition Reports, discussions with KDOT staff, and other improvements determined during Phase II engineering.

Ryan Road Water and Wastewater Trunk Lines

Queen Creek, AZ

Rupurt supported the Town of Queen Creek on an improvement project for water and sewer collection system improvements within the mid-section Ryan Road Alignment. Rupurt provided survey and design engineering services for this project.

Seminole Hard Rock Casino Heliport

Pohick Stream Valley Trail

Rupurt has provided site engineering design, environmental reconnaissance and permitting, and topographic survey for the construction of five, 80 foot long, fair weather stream crossing structures, and 1,300 lf of new trail construction and rehabilitation of existing trail.

Parsippany Veterans Park

Patuxent River Naval Air Station Hangar 111

Rupurt established a GPS control network based on NAD 83 and NAVD 88 verified to Patuxent River Base control, conducted detailed topographic and existing conditions surveys of the tarmac and parking areas utilizing 3D laser scanning technology and a mobile TopoLift.

Middlesex Water Authority Sewage Collection System

Middlesex County, VA

Rupurt is assisting the Middlesex Water Authority with developing a regional water system in lower Middlesex County. Rupurt has completed this evaluation, developed and obtained approval of the Preliminary Engineering Report and has begun design to follow Hampton Roads Planning District Commission specifications. The scope involves the installation of approximately 42 miles of water distribu-tion piping sized from 12” down to 2″.

Monterray Waterway C24 Canal

Port St. Lucie, FL

Rupurt provided emergency design services to retrofit critical storm structures following Hurricane Katrina and worked closely with the City of Port St. Lucie to provide assistance in expediting a solution to a destroyed water retention berm.

Mount Cross Road

Danville, VA

Rupurt provided complete right-of-way acquisition services to acquire an easement needed from 18 property owners and was able to obtain voluntary conveyance from a vast majority of the parcels.

Naval Station Norfolk Chambers Field Repair Hangar 167

Rupurt provided a detailed topographic and utility as-built survey on approximately 41 acres, in three separate areas of Chambers Field, Hangar 167 at Naval Station Norfolk.

Navy CLEAN 8012 & 9000

Maple Avenue

Rupurt provided planning and design services to the Town of Vienna for the Maple Avenue project. Rupurt’s scope of services includes approximately a mile of comprehensive streetscape enhancement, pedestrian improvements, significant overhead utility undergrounding, storm drain utility analysis and design, a full topographic and property survey, and comprehensive easement and entitlement services.

Martin County Aquatic Center

The project includes the site civil engineering for the County Aquatic Center consisting of four pools and associated recreational amenities. Design and permitting of site civil engineering features including pool decking and drainage, access roadways and parking, stormwater management conveyance facilities, stormwater storage and treatment, site grading, water and wastewater utilities.

Horry County Stormwater Assistance

Rupurt assisted the County in reviewing and updating their Stormwater Management Ordinance and Design Manual and in the development of a Monitoring and Assessment Plan, Enforcement Response Plan and pollution prevention/good housekeeping procedures.

Phase III construction management services includes bridge and retaining wall construction, roadway reconstruction, erosion control and protection, utility relocation of existing storm sewers, water tunnels, special waste excavation, earth excavation and embankment, removal of existing improvements, miscellaneous storm sewers, pavements, marking and signage, roadway lighting, ITS, traffic control and protection, and urban enhancements.

I-66 Outside the Beltway P3 Project

Fairfax & Prince William Counties, VA

The I-66 “Outside the Beltway” project is a public-private partnership transportation project that includes 22.5 miles of new tolled express lanes, new and improved bus service and transit routes, and new and expanded park and ride lots.

Jadwin Village

Fort Belvoir, VA

The U.S. Army, Fort Belvoir and Clark Realty Capital, LLC are working together to plan, construct, and operate military family housing communities for Fort Belvoir in Fairfax County, Virginia. Rupurt is providing engineering design, land planning, and construction support services for Jadwin Village and Gerber Village.

John Rolfe Pkwy & Ridgefield Pkwy Sidewalk Improvements

Henrico County, VA

Rupurt provided planning, surveying and civil design services including topographic and route surveys, land records research, easement and right-of-way acquisitions, tree inventory/analysis/management and supplemental landscape plans. Also provided conceptual design development, final construction drawing preparation, cost estimating, bid phase services, construction administration, construction stakeout, as-built surveys and close out reporting.

Kennedy Space Center’s Visitor Center Debus Conference Center

Brevard County, FL

Rupurt provided its survey expertise to inventory and locate improvements around Kennedy Space Center in preparation for expansion plans. The team had to navigate security controls as well as legacy control points to ensure the newly generated data properly integrated with its historic database.

Lake Worth Drainage District E-3 Canal Rehab

Palm Beach County, FL

Rupurt provided canal right-of-way mapping and staking services for approximately 20 miles of canals as part of the Lake Worth Drainage District Canal Rehabilitation Program. The project consisted of staking the right-of-way lines along several Lake Worth Drainage District canals.

Lakeview Avenue Modernization

Colonial Heights, VA

Rupurt provided planning, surveying, and civil engineering services to support the development of a 1/2 mile public road improvement project and associated utility relocations.

Hamilton Safety Center

Hamilton, VA

Rupurt provided civil engineering and surveying services for this project, which included a 17,000 sq. ft. building with 6 attached bays for fire and rescue vehicles and a 5,400 sq. ft. annex building. A site plan was developed and processed through the Town of Hamilton and included design for stormwater, sanitary sewers, water, and stormwater management.

Hinsdale 2015 Reconstruction Program

Hinsdale, IL

Rupurt provided its core engineering and design services to facilitate the planning and reconstruction and resurfacing of over a mile of public road infrastructure. The team also oversaw the design and replacement of thousands of feet of utility lines. This required coordination of detailed field survey and geotechnical investigations to ensure design accounted for real world constraints.

Fairfax Village Neighborhood Center

Fort Belvoir, VA

The Fairfax Village Neighborhood Center is part of the U.S. Army Residential Communities Initiative to upgrade, redevelop and provide market rate residential housing and amenities for the men and women of our armed forces. The project was awarded LEED-NC 2.2 Platinum Certification by the United States Green Building Council.

Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission

Statewide, FL

Rupurt is the prime consultant performing general surveying services in support of Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission projects. Examples include the Tenoroc Public Use Area New Entry Station, John C. and Mariana Jones/Hungryland Wildlife and Environmental Area, Little Gator Creek Wildlife and Environmental Area, and Chinsegut Wildlife and Environmental Area.

County Road 8 – Bridge over Fraser River

Fraser, CO

Phase I and II services for replacement of existing steel beam bridge at County Road 8 and the Fraser River, originally constructed in 1979. A bridge hydraulic report and scour analysis were prepared for this project. Proposed structure is 47 feet wide with span of 46 feet Prestressed Precast Concrete (PPC) Deck Beams with a 6-inch cast-in-place concrete slab, founded on pile bent abutments.

Clifton Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant

Clifton, AZ

Rupurt provided a PER and Design to replace a trickling filter Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with a new 200,000 gpd Moving Bed Biological Reactor (MBBR) treatment plant installed inside of the existing concrete treatment tank. Design elements included rehabilitation of the existing influent pump station and existing operations building, a standby generator, and demolition of existing WWTP components. Additional services included surveying and civil design.

Charles City County Annual Services Contract

Charles City County, VA

Rupurt was selected to perform utility engineering services for various water and wastewater systems. Rupurt is responsible for attending various meetings with County staff and Supervisors, regulatory officials and representatives from the funding agencies in pursuit of financing for the below identified projects, as well as attending public meetings.

Chessie’s Trail: Lee District Park

Fairfax County, VA

Rupurt provided planning, engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and environmental consulting services within the 120-acre Lee District Park as part of the Family Recreation Area Spray Park and Accessible Tree House and Chessie Trail development. The accessible trails and tree house project had significant topographic and tree preservation challenges.

Clarks Branch Bridge Riverbend Park

Fairfax County, VA

Rupurt provided watershed analysis, preliminary and final engineering design, environmental investigation and permitting, surveying and construction documentation, for design and installation of the 90 foot span hiker/equestrian bridge span over the Clark’s Branch tributary.

Chicago Sewer Design Improvements

Design engineering services for sewer improvement projects located throughout Chicago. Work includes data collec-tion and initial assessments, coordination of survey and geotechnical engineering, utility coordination, sewer align-ments and profiles, structural design, compliance with IEPA water sewer separation requirements, cross sec-tions/typical sections, traffic control and detours, surface drainage design, OUC submittals and approvals, and permitting.

City of Fairfax Transportation On-Call

Rupurt provided an array of planning, surveying and civil design services including topographic and route surveys, land records research, easement and right of way acquisitions, tree inventory, analysis and management, and supplemental landscape plans, conceptual design development and evaluation, final construction drawing preparation, construction stakeout, and more.

Broadway Water Treatment Plant

Broadway, VA

Rupurt provided major upgrades to the Town of Broadway’s Water Treatment Plant. The upgrades included the installation of a state of the art 1.8MGD Pall Corp. MF membrane treatment system in a new concrete filtration building, upgraded and automated chemical feed systems, a 100,000-gallon well storage tank, and a 350,000-gallon finished water clear well.

Catlett – Calverton Wastewater System

Fauquier, VA

Rupurt partnered with English Construction for this Design-Build project for a central wastewater collection, treatment and disposal system to serve the service districts of Catlett and Calverton. The project includes a new collection system consisting of individual Septic Tank Effluent Pump (STEP) systems that transfer wastewater to a 80,000 gpd central wastewater treatment plant utilizing an Integrated Fixed Film Activated Sludge (FAS) technology. Effluent will be disposed of through the use of subsurface drip irrigation drain fields.

Bruce Avenue Drainage Project

Colonial Heights, VA

Rupurt provided planning, surveying and design services to the City of Colonial Heights for the Phase III and IV drainage and utility improvement plans of the Bruce Avenue Drainage Improvements project. This project included approximately 6,500 linear feet of city streets. The scope of the project included complete water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer replacement. The project also involved substantial excavation of the roadways within the ROW limits and rebuilding of new asphalt sections and curb and gutter.

Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Fire Water Line Repair

Brevard County, FL

Rupurt provided site constriction survey and stakeout support for an active drilling operation consisted of four directional drill sites and approximately 9,300 LF of fire suppression transmission water line. The team was required to provide near real time analysis of alignments and adjust to various site conditions and client constraints.

Bastrop Co. Complex Fire Recovery Program

Bastrop County, TX

Rupurt provided project management services which included direct administration and manage-ment of a significant portion of the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community De-velopment Block Group grant for Disaster Recovery awarded through the Texas General Land Office for the non-housing allocation of the CDBG-DR grant, in conjunction with an Emergency Watershed Protection grant from the Natural Resource Conservation Service.

Bathtub Beach Specific Purpose Survey

Martin County, FL

Rupurt provided multiple drone-based laser survey scans to analyze and monitor ongoing beach improvements. The team worked closely with FAA and local authorities for permitted exemptions to operate in prohibited drone areas.

Beach Mill Road Channel Restoration

Fairfax County, VA

Rupurt provided on-call services to Fairfax County’s Stormwater Planning Division. The team provided environmental consulting services, conceptual and final engineering design, and construction phase administration for this stream restoration project. Rupurt’s team of environmental scientists performed a wetland delineation and stream mitigation evaluation, and a Water Quality Impact Assessment report and small whorled pogonia survey were prepared.

Beaverdam Reservoir

Brambleton, VA

With this study, Rupurt’s team prepared a schematic design for potential park features, developed base mapping to determine development constraints and the boundaries of environmental overlay districts using GIS data, and identified potential access locations and existing public utilities. The information was to be used for development of a conceptual facility layout.

Border Patrol Indoor Firing Range

Nogales, AZ

Rupurt provided surveying, civil engineering design, construction stakeout, and construction administration services for the U.S. Border Patrol station in Nogales, Arizona. The installation of the new modular facility included re-grading the existing site, delivering supporting water and sewer line extensions, and an expansion and repaving of the existing parking lot.

75th Street Intersection Improvements

Naperville, IL

Phase I Engineering Services to evaluate four intersections to identify improvements that will address the accident history, increase the safety of the intersections, and create continuity throughout the corridor while minimizing impacts to the operational characteristics of the intersections. Includes Intersection Design Studies, Drainage Technical Memo and preparation of a Project Development Report for 75th Street.

Albemarle County Economic Development Site Evaluation

Albemarle County, VA

Rupurt provided engineering services to evaluate the site readiness and economic development suitability of nine properties located within the County-designated growth area to evaluate their po-tential for economic development and the value that Rupurt can create through the quantification of site development needs such as entitlements, permits, soils, environmental features, surveys and available infrastructure.

Andrews Air Force Base Family Housing

Prince George's County, MD

Rupurt prepared demolition plans for areas proposed for redevelopment of residential units and future commercial and office uses. Scope included preliminary engineering design, layout and grading of roadways and housing units, utility design, stormwater management, topographic and improvement surveys, and an ALTA/ACSM land title survey. Technical review and quality control of final engineering documents were also provided.
